For the third film in this popular underground film series, the makers decided to change a few things up. Sean Donahue (The Hart-Break Killer, DEAD RESIDENCE) has stepped aside as director and co-writer, (he still helped produce the film) and let Chris Woods (ChaosA.D., Amerikan Holocaust) move from up from producing and co-writing to solo writer and director. It also moves the plot in a new direction, away from the storyline of the first two. Was the change up a good idea, or should they have gone with more of the same with Taste Me: Death-
James (Eight The Chosen One AMERICAN GUINEA PIG: BOUQUET OF BLOOD AND GORE, MORBID STORIES) is a drifter who happens to be in the right place at the right time. He saves one of the escorts from Tasty Chicks from an aggressive client but takes a bullet in the process. Recovering he’s offered a job by Madame Eve (Ashley Lynn Caputo, I Dared You! Truth Or Dare 5, Chaos A.D.) as security. It seems there’s been a rash of murders targeting working girls and they could use a big guy like him just in case. However, it doesn’t take him long to realize a serial killer may be the least of his worries.
Taking the franchise into Blood Feast territory with its cannibal hookers shakes things up and lets Woods deliver some gory set pieces. He also seems to have ramped up the explicit nudity, I mean how many non-porn films give you a good look at a woman’s asshole? And this is equal opportunity sleaze so Bob Glazier (Cannibal Claus) gets to rock out with his cock out once again.
This is far from mainstream horror and anyone looking for a safe dose of blood, boobs, and jump scares is likely to come away at least slightly traumatized. But if you can deal with things being taken well beyond the limits of good taste, while still being good fun Taste Me: Death-Scort Service Part 3 is for you. The folks from Gatorblade Films and The Sleaze Box have delivered the goods yet again.
