Based on a short story by Ray Russell, the writer of X The Man With The X-Ray Eyes, The Premature Burial and the novel that The Incubus was adapted from. Tennessee Gothic is a horror-comedy with a lot of sex according to its trailer. And since that sex involves the wonderfully cute Jackie Kelly (In Memory Of), I’m not complaining.
The official plot synopsis for Tennessee Gothic tells us ” When a dim-witted widower and his teenage son offer a beautiful young woman refuge on their farm, their living situation escalates from hysterical comedy to maddening horror once they discover she’s not who she says she is. “
The trailer looks like an R rated mix of Hee Haw and what appears to be a vampire film. It’s directed by Jeff Wedding and features William Ryan Watson, Jackie Kelly, and Victor Hollingsworth. An added bonus for film buffs, Tennessee Gothic was shot on film with cinematography by Eric Stanze (Ratline, Ice From The Sun).
