Thankskilling The Guest Art

Malvolia: the Queen of Screams (Jennifer Nangle, Bearry, 4OuR) is back with another holiday special, Thankskilling: The Guest. And this year she and her assistant Charles (Charles Chudabala, Paranormal Attraction, Serena Waits) have a special gift for five lucky souls.

Sophie (Traci Burr, May, It Wants Blood!), Tristan (Jeremy Gladen, Something Sinister, The Theatre Bizarre), Victoria (Linnea Swanson), Bartholomew (Nick Caisse) and Kennedy (Jo Gonsalves) have all been sent flash drives. When they stop bickering long enough to combine the drives’ contents they get an address and an invitation to visit it.

Written and directed by its star, Thankskilling: The Guest follows the same basic storyline as Malovia’s Halloween Special from a couple of years ago as her guest’s dark secrets are revealed and they meet their respective fates. But this year that’s just the appetizer, because this year she has a special guest joining her for dinner, The Dark Lord (Robert Allen Mukes, House of 1,000 Corpses, Hell of the Screaming Undead).

Thankskilling is enjoyably ghoulish holiday fun, or at least as ghoulish as YouTube allows. For those of you unfamiliar with the character, Malvolia is a more evil version of Elvira. She does the things Elvira hints about and loves every minute of it. Like Elvira, she usually plays hostess to other people’s films, so it’s fun to see her as the subject for a change.

And it’s equally obvious that Nangle and Chudabala are still having a blast with their roles even in their fifth season. The two have great chemistry in just about everything they appear in together and it really shines in Thankskilling: The Guest. Among the guests, the real standout is Linnea Swanson as Victoria who is cute enough to get your attention, and bitchy enough to make you regret it.

Thankskilling: The Guest will be available on Malvolia’s YouTube Channel on Thanksgiving in the USA, that’s Thursday, November 25th for the rest of us. You can check out The Queen’s Facebook page for more details.
