We now have word of another holiday-themed thriller, The Apology, heading our way. It’s the debut feature film for writer/director Alison Star Locke after a pair of shorts and an assistant director gig on the alien abduction film Grey Skies and revolves around a recovering alcoholic whose past comes back to haunt them at a holiday gathering.
Mark Ward, Chief Acquisitions Officer of RLJE Films and not exactly an unbiased source, says “The Apology is like nothing else you will see this holiday season. An intense and chilling thriller led by a tour-de-force performance from Anna Gunn. We are ecstatic to once again partner with our friends at Shudder and Company X Productions to bring this captivating original to audiences.” You can find out for yourself on December 16th when The Apology arrives in theatres and on Shudder.
