Tony Todd plays a different kind of boogeyman in the upcoming crime thriller All Gone Wrong. The press release dropped into my inbox this afternoon and being a fan of the Candyman star I figured I’d pass the news along. The trailer makes All Gone Wrong look like a gritty tale of an undercover operation gone very wrong. You can read the details and have a look at the stills and trailer below.
Buffalo 8 has obtained the U.S. rights to Propulsion Films and Lone Morsel Productions’ ALL GONE WONG, an action thriller from first time feature writer/director Josh Guffey. The film, starring Tony Todd (Candyman) and Jake Kaufman, will be released on January 27 to Apple TV+, iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play and Cable On Demand.

After a rookie undercover cop is gunned down in a drug bust gone wrong, the veteran agent in charge, Chris Halvorsen (Kaufman), is put on leave. Away from his desk, Halvorsen begins an unauthorized investigation into the failed deal, leading him to a pervasive drug network operating under the surface in a rural town. Now it’s him against an ugly cast of characters and the town heavy, Lamont Hughes (Todd), on a potentially fatal mission to make everything right.
“Telling this story with this team has been the preoccupation of most of my adult life,” stated Guffey. “It has been 15 years from the writing of the first draft to where our team has climbed today with the film’s release. I am so thankful for the collaboration with Tony Todd, Buffalo 8, and my partner in crime, Jake Kaufman, and I could not be more excited for audiences to enjoy the film.”

“It’s special to work with first time filmmakers like Josh Guffey but especially in this instance where we can help bring his passion project of so many years to a national audience,” added Nikki Stiers Justice, Head of Buffalo 8 Distribution for Buffalo 8.
In addition to Todd and Kaufman, All Gone Wrong stars Krystal Torres (“For All Mankind”), Law X (“All the Queens Men”), Antonio St. James (“The Chi”), Peter Mayer (“Casting the Net”) and Pete Winfrey. The Executive Producers are Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor, Nikki Stier Justice, Jim and Dietra Lewis, William Noble and Susanne Renee Owens, Joshua Teets, Dar Guffey, Edward D. Albrecht, Doug Albrecht, Jeanette Ellis and Tyrone Mosley, Kyle Kerner and Tony Todd. The film was produced by Josh Guffey, Michael Kennedy, Frank Merle of Lone Morsel Productions and Barry Albrecht of Propulsion Films.

Love this movie. Keep an eye on Josh Guffey, a creative and intelligent story teller.
