Dolph Lundgren Returns to the Director’s Chair In “Wanted Man”

Not one to let a bomb like Expend4bles get him down, Dolph Lundgren is back not only starring in, but directing and co-writing Wanted Man. Lundgren plays a badass cop who’s in trouble with for his methods, big surprise there, who gets sent to Mexico to bring back a pair of witnesses to the murder of undercover DEA agents. When they’re ambushed, he’s forced to hide out with the surviving witness’ family when it’s revealed his own department set him up.

With a cast that includes Christina Villa as the witness as well as Michael Paré and Kelsey Grammer Wanted Man looks to be a decent enough action film. Lundgren’s most recent turn as a director was Castle Falls, which was better than most of his other recent films. We’ll find out if he can do it again on January 19th when Quiver Distribution releases Wanted Man in theatres as well as on Digital and VOD Platforms.

Johansen (Lundgren) is an aging detective, whose outdated policing methods have given the department a recent public relations problem. To save his job, he is sent to Mexico to extradite a female witness (Villa) to the murders of two DEA agents. Once there, he finds not only his old opinions challenged, but that bad hombres on both sides of the border are now gunning for him and his witness.
