Liam and Luke Hemsworth Join Russell Crowe in “Land of Bad”.
A covert mission goes wrong deep behind enemy lines, and the fate of his captured comrades rests in the hands of the unit’s newest addition. That’s the plot of Land of Bad, a new action film from director William Eubank and co-writer David Frigerio, who previously worked together on The Signal.
It’s not the most original of plots, but what is original these days? Perhaps more importantly, it does have a cast that know their way around an action film. That includes brothers Luke and Liam Hemsworth, Milo Ventimiglia, Ricky Whittle and Russell Crowe as the drone pilot who serves as Kinney’s eye in the sky.
You can check out the poster, a couple of stills and the trailer below. The Avenue will release Land of Bad to theatres on February 16th.
A covert Special Forces operation in the South, Philippines spirals into a brutal 48-hour battle for survival. When an elite extraction team is ambushed deep in enemy territory, rookie officer Kinney (Hemsworth) is left outnumbered but determined to leave no man behind. With an air strike closing in, Kinney’s only hope hinges on the guidance of Air Force drone pilot Reaper (Crowe), navigating unknowable danger where every move could be their last.
