Dark Rift Horror Launches Boutique Blu-ray Label with Zomblogalypse Collector’s Edition

We reviewed Zomblogalypse a while back and loved it. So I’m happy to see it getting a collector’s edition hard copy release.

Dark Rift Horror are thrilled to announce the Blu-ray release of Zomblogalypse, the award-winning horror comedy that follows three friends as they attempt to make a film about the zombie apocalypse, during the apocalypse.

Limited to 500 copies, the Collector’s Edition Blu-ray features an exclusive hand numbered Slipcover, four signed lobby cards, booklet and a double-sided sleeve autographed by cast members Hannah Bungard, Tony Hipwell, Miles Watts and Lyndsey Craine. The Blu-ray disc is packed with over an hour of bonus features including production diaries, deleted scenes and more.

Here’s the official synopsis for Zomblogalypse:

After surviving the zombie apocalypse for 10 years, three terminally bored friends decide to make a film to commemorate the milestone. Little do they realize how messy, stupid and dangerous that will prove to be.

ZOMBLOGALYPSE is the feature length adaptation of the cult web series that skewers the YouTube generation, filmmaking and zombie genre in equal measure. Expect a fresh, modern, riotous horror comedy that gleefully tears apart the cinematic rule book.

Zomblogalypse is the first title in Dark Rift Horror’s new boutique Blu-ray label, Dark Rift Presents. With the goal of bringing a curated selection of blood-soaked popcorn horror movies to physical media, the Dark Rift Presents label will showcase the best home-grown British horror movies with premium, limited editions.

Dark Rift Horror is the production company behind 2019’s Book of Monsters and the upcoming How to Kill Monsters, due for release later this year. “In today’s streaming landscape, indie horror movies rarely see a physical release and most that do are bare bones editions with artwork that doesn’t even reflect the movie”, says company director Stewart Sparke. “As a horror fan, owning the films I love on Blu-ray means I can enjoy them forever and gives me a tactile experience that streaming services cannot replicate. With a focus on gorgeous Slipcover artwork and mountains of bonus features in a package signed & numbered by the filmmakers themselves, we think horror fans will be proud to add our Blu-rays to their collection.”

The Zomblogalypse Collector’s Edition Blu-ray is exclusive to the USA & UK and available now from www.darkrifthorror.com/shop. More titles, including How to Kill Monsters will be available for pre-order later this year.
